CASE STUDY
Supply Chain: Entertainment/Hospitality – Indirect Procurement, Organizational Effectiveness Assessment
Assessment of procurement organizational effectiveness on select core competencies.
Business Challenge
Executive leadership wanted to understand the value of procurement in the organization and create transparency to the organization’s owner/ stakeholders. As an acquisition, the brand purchased memorabilia and a centralized procurement team made 80% of all global purchasing. There were no metrics or KPI’s to govern categories and demonstrate the value-added activities of the procurement organization.
Response
- Supply Chain / Change Management: Created procurement roles and responsibilities matrix with overall operating model.
- Supply Chain/Data & Analytics: Performed spend and gap analysis by category to demonstrate redundancies in spending process and behavior.
- Finance: Created relevant Days of Inventory Outstanding & SKU rationalization of memorabilia and impact to COGS.
